what are you listening to?

These Windham Hill chrome tapes sound amazing with Dolby off...

I suppose it helps that my DSP pre-amp has a domain expander and that these tapes were recorded with HX Pro.

Lee... the master CD in the 'case' (Sonic Mayhem) has this track listing:

Remember, this stuff creates a 'wall of sound'. Play it with a little bass boost for added impact, but keep the overall gain level down for the 1st go-through. ; )

Tony, thank you very much, love new music auditioning.

I have yet to see a decent recording that I have to use a "bass boost", my K's are really bass hogs.................

Last time I did 4 way windowpane was the late 80's....
Had some kind of blotter back in '95 while in NYC for a party. Eh... I was on so much other shit I'm not sure how to judge the trip.

LOTS of microdot in the '70s, though...

Good Set. I generally avoid live performance albums, but this set is nicely done. I doubt Mr. Gilmour would have it any other way.gilmour 004 (Medium).JPG

The Moon and the Melodies
Harold Budd, Elizabeth Fraser, Robin Guthrie, Simon Raymonde (Or, Cocteau Twins with Harold Budd...)
(c. 1986, 4AD) M-

Something "moon" oriented for the equinox moon. Nice etherial sound punctuated with Elizabeth's vocals. Unusual, to say the least.

The indeterminate sound of whatever is on the oldies station across the house in my bedroom. Socks is sleeping on the top of the loveseat near me so it's not louder.
