Not WHAT but HOW
Made a trip to the next town and got these AT THE THRIFT STORE...
Sony MDR-XD200 headphones
They are a dream comfort wise, something that is not always easy to find and really hard to get for vintage phones (it's the headband and how the cups fit, and these are very comfortable).
The sound is great and for a model that sold for about thirty dollars I think Sony ripped themself off for that. I spent $2.75 and all I lack was the 1/4" adapter. From the way the cord had the rubber band on it looked like it could have been new and boxless.
That's a nice earpad!Sony earpad.JPG[/attachment:a2gt3r3w]
The headband does not bother you and feels pretty good!Sony headband.JPG[/attachment:a2gt3r3w]
There are six screws at each side of the headband. Even if it was made in China there's some quality in it.Sony screws.jpg[/attachment:a2gt3r3w]
The laptop sounds wonderful with them!
