Sick original Velvet Underground & Nico (non-torso back). It's for sale on AK, out of my own collection

Nice. acoustic guitar soundscapes. incredible sound quality.

might be a final spin for a while, as I'm heading off Friday morning for a couple of vacation weeks with family in SW France - a week near Toulouse, a week in Biarritz, some travel through the Pyrenees range. As usual, lots of last minute work stuff to deal with/handoff before leaving.

Better than "Waiting on Columbus" Live???

I like the first LP because the band is raw and Lowell George's songs have a lot of bite. That green label pressing is apparently in short supply, according to Allmusic the band was not well known, the record was not heavily promoted and there were only 11,000 copies in the initial run. I see plenty of later issues of this record, but not the green label.

Lowell George's earlier band - Factory - were on F-Troop in 1967 as "the bedbugs" :happy3:

Not all of us have all of these records, Ron, I knew it was Beck but had to look it up to figure it was Sea Change...

I see somebody got it FIRST.

Yep, just cranked the living shit out of that song, the whole tape is good. Been chasing a mint copy of the record for a LONG time. I have had two VG+ to VG++ ones in the past

Been chasing a copy of that one altogether. Havent seen one in a long time.

Must be one of those that were played to death....like my copies of " Hair of the Dog" and "Equinox"...

Ron: That's a sight I don't see often from you - a pre-recorded cassette playing on your Pioneer deck. Nothing wrong with a good ol' pre-recorded tape.

Lee: You mentioned Equinox, and I had just begun playing JMJ's "Equinoxe."

Nando.

Yup, I know you over-played Styx's Equinox album, Lee... especially "Suite Madame Blue."

Nando.

Indeed Nando, besides Spooky Tooth's "Moriah", I ended many a party with "Suite Madame Blue"!!

You're an inspiration, Lee. I haven't listened to Styx on LP in some time.
