Never had you down as a CV lover...
It found me along with a bunch of Ministry records at a local thrift store last month. It's an interesting listen, really enjoyed all the electronic bleeps and bloops, not so much the spoken word sampling stuff but I think it's a grower.

Daren, I don't know if you can pin down SLF on any kind.....his collection runs the gamut...
I cast a wide net but there's still much which I think will always be throw-backs... easy listening, big band, Kenny G., Babs. :)

ipod on random. Right now its the Atom Heart Mother suite. Running tubes up here in the bedroom, re-worked Dynaco PAS2 preamp and a Bogen DS-225 power amp with Klipsch KG-4's.

I like it. Bass response sucks a bit, but vocals and highs are pretty incredible. Some of the bad bass is this room though, its just sort of horrible. The Bogen has a sort of funky circuit design, but they were doing stuff like that back then. It was all solidly engineered, but their design department really lacked imagination. Nothing they made has that mid century cool look like Fisher or Sherwood, but they were right under the hood where it really mattered.

went boating today, had a nice lunch then hung out at the sand bars out front for a while until the sky started to get dark. Forecast was right for a change. Got in as the wind was kicking up and the temperature dropped. About 45 minutes later it stormed good for a half hour, then it all went away. We figured on staying nearby in case the weather turned to crap, and that was a good call.

The Beatles - Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
(1967, Parlophone) 2014 MONO reissue

Beautiful packaging and terrific sound quality. Listening with the mode switch set to Mono on the MC 2205 amp. I stopped by a local haunt this afternoon on the way home, they have the individual Beatles Mono LPs on sale. I had my sights on Sgt. Pepper, $17.99 sale price + $3 off coupon. And they threw in a free T-shirt. Silver Platters, Bellevue.
