I'm the Red Knight, by grant of the Black
My brother and sister-in-law came over last night for dinner, them being in town for a family reunion. I insisted on playing a few tunes for my brother, and he mentioned liking slide guitar. I quickly turned him on to Leo Kottke, who he had never heard of. "Mikey liked it."

Robert Turman: Flux

A lot of previously very rare music by this guy form the early 80s has been reissued on nicely pressed vinyl over the last couple years. This is his solo debut from 1981, originally only on small batched of self-released cassettes. Minimalism featuring tape loops, drum machine and piano with miscellaneous other embellishments.

Nice job.

Got some tickets to see him in Woodstock next month - looking forward to it!

A solid handful of great songs on this one.
The cream of the crop is 'Turning Left'.
Play that one loud !
Hell, play 'em ALL loud.

'Soap on a Rope'
'Sexy Little Thing'
'Get it Up'
all could have been solid Van Hagar tunes back in the day ...
Sometimes I feel musically challenged - there is just so much good music I've never heard. :tongue3: :tard: :sad5: :confused1: Damn. This is a great album - just gave it a spin on u-toobe. You guys rock! Thanks Blazzzzzzzzzzzzzze.

Leo Kottke?
There's a name I haven't heard in a while.
Blew my brains out wot he could do on a 12 string even. I think he's pro'ly why I got one...

I didn't think an Alan Parsons would need remastered..
It's a matter of opinion but I personally like how the remaster sounds + they added a bunch of session outtakes & remixed, unreleased stuff on a second disk.
I've never owned 'I Robot' on CD before, only MFSL, and that LP sounds awesome. Without the extras I wouldn't have bought the CD.
'Naked Robot' is effing killer !
