Broken beyond repair but highly affable
A London cassette called Great Puccini Arias on a $2 Akai HX-2 I got from auction leftovers and didn't have a lot of hope for but the deck turned out to be AWESOME.

Through a Pioneer SX-580 I also got for $2 as a leftover that needs some FM work and slight pot cleaning (no scratches, just a channel drop out) that will be my Pay It Forward to A TH member (Freddy1) for helping some other TH member beyond the call and he never has owned an SX! I was going to give him an SX-6000 but it had a lot of things to do and I was held up a while. I need to figure out the problems as the tuning doesn't lock in stereo well and the center tune doesn't deviate but AM strength works okay.

I believe that Dorma Nessi? just ended, it wasn't the Pavarotti version but it sounded great, in Dolby B even. There was an Ampex 370 with religious music in the tape well so I think I have a case and J card for it too.

I'll post pics of both in their places now.

If the government was just SMOKING pot, this would never have happened.

How's the new cart working out, Ben?
Great Doug. The cart/shell combo required me to lift the tonearm to accommodate the height. After getting everything set up right and doing a break in period, this cart seems to be less noisy than the Red. Noticeable on quieter passages. You and my brother both should enjoy these carts when they arrive to each of you.
