I picked this one up on Friday at the local new & used record store. I had set it aside on a previous visit a week prior, and fortunately it was still there when I returned. It's Derek and the Dominoes' 1970 double album of "Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs."

Nando.
Awrsome!!! So you did score it.. Hell yeah

I have a bit of Roy Buchanan, too, but not that one, Ron.

I did get it, although I took a chance leaving it in the bin for a week before buying it. Good call on suggesting I get it.

Nando.

Did a day trip out to the Mendocino coast today.
Weather was fabulous !
The drive was exhilarating !

Listened to this on the drive home, this evening;
I refer to it as "genesis-Jelly Jam" - it's has the three members of Jelly Jam "gelling" in proper form:

Lucked onto some 24 bit 88.2 PS3 SACD rip files and have been having a play with them to see how the
SACD layer sounds when converted back to 16-44 and burt in QR Audio mode. My experience with the
Hybrid SACD disc's redbook layer has not been very exciting, in fact it seems they purposely hobble the
16-44 layer on these discs to ensure the discerning SACD buyer is happy with the SACD content.
I have done several discs and the results seem to be from good to exceptionally good depending on the
quality of the remastering done for the SACD release. Listened to these tonight

The Allman Brothers Band - Eat A Peach....Only OK. Some of the music is not my cup of tea, Mountain Jam
at 18 minutes is tedious at best....Yawn

Gene Harris, Scott Hamilton Quintet - At Last. Concord Jazz. This is a bloody amazing recording!!

Genesis - A Trick Of The Tail.... Not A Phil Collins fan but they did a superb job of the remaster. Will listen more

Aretha Franklin - Aretha's Gold, from 1969. F**k Me. All her best stuff with dynamics that make you jump outa your seat. Love it.

Will report as I get more done.
