Lord Sutch and Heavy Friends - Hands of Jack the Ripper original Cotillian 1st press. Everytime I listen to Lord Sutch, I think back to the Vietnam War movies I've seen with the trippy music. This is a must have in any collection

A nod to my man Ronnie Jame Dio original press of Elf - Carolina County Ball. If you dig the bluesy stuff, this should be in your collection

Seems like I remember anything that Bill Szymczyk produced was excellent sonically...
Yes, agree - even the earlier James Gang records like "Yer Album" are full of neat studio tricks. There's extra magic on LPs pressed at Artisan - look for a space-ship etching in the deadwax.

... pronounced "Shimchick" in case anyone wants to know.
Thanks. Always wondered about that one. :confused2:

Zephyr - s/t original ABC Command/Probe. If you have not heard it, this features a very young Tommy Bolin on guitar ripping it up. His honking tone is showcased in the solo on Sun's A-risin, it makes me itch to grab a guitar and jam along with him. The singer is Candie Givens who pulls off rather convincing Janis Joplin type vocals. This whole lp is chock full of killer blues riffs and sung by a very talented woman who has no fear of injecting some Soul. There is another chick she reminds me of... on a rather obscure heavy rock release by a band called Icris Witch (husband/wife duo) google them, you won't be disappointed

Loved that album...Station Man was great. Peter Green played on that one, didn't he?

Looks like Green joined the band in concert on this track, but he's not credited on the LP. I think he'd left the band by this time...
