If the lid is rattling, think of what your subsonic filter is going through. Put some silly putty on the corners and isolate the hinges if you can.

Subsonic filter?

As I mentioned....best fix is no lid. Dont really care to isolate any noise from the lid, when it can be removed completely from the equation by leaving the lid off.

That's true Ben but a lid definitely helps keep dust of the records :laughing5:

Indeed Ron. But not worth the hassle of dealing with the lid. I stopped using the lid a long time ago, on all record players of mine. I only install the lid when the table wont get used for long periods of time.
