I will send you the $10 + shipping for the stylus then later this week, shoot me your PayPal. I think I will just keep the Pioneer cart and try to sell the TT complete. It's a pretty cool frontloader that slides out and then the arm swings out for playback. Never saw another one and it's a heavy mofo. Just have to work a bit more on the tray, it comes out slow but goes back in at normal speed. No, it's not highend but sounds pretty darn good for what it is

I never play damaged records but that is a good idea for checking VTF and alignment!

NW, you know that this stylus is NOT genuine Shure, right? I still recommend it to you for these reasons:

#1 Use it for your not-so-good vinyl.

#2 Use it for first-time play, in cast of a groove logjam which would break the stylus tip off the real Shure.

#3 Use it for operations which might put the real Shure in peril, such as checking VTF and alignment - slip out the real one, install the Pfanstiehl, do the check, reinstall the real stylus.

It's marked at $49.95 (and who really knows how long ago that was), but given what it is and what I gave for the lot, it's yours for ten bucks and shipping. PM me a ship-to address, and it'll be on its way to you. I send stuff to Orange this way, and it works well. He sends payment when he can.

EDIT: I was inclined to pass on the Pioneer T4P, but what the hay? It looks like one of those "fits anything but does nothing very well" devices, but yeah, it's probably worth ten bucks. So cart or money, I'll leave it up to you.

Laz's turn - I have these stylus assemblies, and would trade the lot for a really special T4P cart, or maybe something else. They're new, in Pfanstiehl packaging, and made by the original manufacturer, except as noted. I goofed on that one...

a pair of M92E stylii, labeled as "Genuine Shure" and "Manufactured by Shure"

a single M75EJ type II stylus, labeled as "Precision Manufactured by Shure"

a single Empire 2000E/I or 2000E/II stylus, labeled as "Manufactured by Empire Scientific Corp."

a single Stanton 680 series stylus, labeled as "Manufactured in USA by Stanton Magnetics, Inc."

a single V-15 type IV stylus, and who knows who made it? It might be OK...
D2, I know that 2000E stylus would be great if I had this...and it's been relisted forever at that price but I like them...and it's new according to them.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/131095346111 and I'd pay for facilitating that as I don't have Paypal. THEN, I'd figure out a trade.

Meanwhile if there's anybody who can service a Pioneer CLD-2090 dual side Laserdisc player that needs belts or find me the service manual I'd work something out too.

Ok I just seen this and I am confused. Would the v15 work on the cart you sent or not Ron?
Hang in there Jason, if you need a stylus I'll have to see if mine works or not. Not an XV, V and I guess I may not have a rock on that needle....would help.

Do you have a code stamped on top of the stylus body? Mine is DAT3 and it was was the stock needle that came with a new cartridge.

Sorry, Steven, another Phoenix member has previous dibs on the Empire. A trade is pending, and for the Stanton as well. I am probably letting them go too cheap, but they cost me next to nothing. I think the Shures are not spoken for...yet.

I think I have a v.3 but I also think it DIED.

I can't remember at the moment whether I have an M92 or 91 and I wish I still had my Empire 2000 cart. There are some in Ontario province in one eBay store but that's a lot right now.
I have an Empire 2000 cartridge I'd sell. For the right price, I'd throw in the Empire 598 turntable I'm selling too.

[smacks forehead] Trying to sell a Pfanstiehl on a real audio site is a lot like trying to sneak a witch through Salem, Mass. in 1680 or thereabouts... I was honest about it, guys. :smokin:

No Dennis, it was my dohness. You mentioned the Shures were not spoken for and I said the V15 was. Then I realized you were not referring to it LOL

No, we're in Carlsbad, hours away from lovely Taos. I was last there myself in maybe 1977. It's not laid back here - redneck/oilpatch country. The midwest beckons...

The 2000 would be great...the 598 is likely a pipedream on $740 a month but they are just BEAUTIFUL.

Have you been to the Carlsbad Caverns? That is something I would love to do. I have been to Howe Caverns in NY a few times and that was wicked cool

Hey, Laz...perhaps you could just edit the original post or repost it down here with the updates.

Yes, many times, and have yet to get tired of it. It looks like we're going before getting to visit any of the other local caves, though. I just want to do the lower cave tour before we go.

OK, Steven, for you most anything. Here's the update:

a pair of M92E stylii, labeled as "Genuine Shure" and "Manufactured by Shure"
NOT FOR SALE

a single M75EJ type II stylus, labeled as "Precision Manufactured by Shure"
SOLD

a single Empire 2000E/I or 2000E/II stylus, labeled as "Manufactured by Empire Scientific Corp."
SWAPPED

a single Stanton 680 series stylus, labeled as "Manufactured in USA by Stanton Magnetics, Inc."
SWAPPED

a single V-15 type IV stylus, and who knows who made it? It might be OK...
SOLD

EDIT: All stylii are now sold, traded, or spoken for. I'm keeping the N92's for myself, to fit a cartridge I'm trading two other stylii for. That, that, that's all folks!
