The Official Reel To Reel 'Porn" Thread

You sold it long ago or it's in use, I would surmise.

I have a genuine japanese capstan belt coming for my Teac X10R within the next two weeks. This will be my first working RTR with dual capstan feature.

Welcome to Phoenix Bill. Good way to start out here by showing what ya got! Spend a bit of time around here and I'm sure that rack will change. WOPL would look good right in the middle of that stack.

And An Update

New gear to report. Museum-quality Revox B77 came my way from my friend and cohort in crime at the Sewanee Summer Music Festival. She found it in a closet. In the box, with all the accessories but the take-up reel. And I mean everything, including the cleaning kit. There was an empty metal Scotch 206 reel in place of the plastic Revox reel so I'm guessing if she looks around a bit more she'll find that reel with some tape on it somewhere.

It's taken some time as things have been kind of busy around here getting ready to downsize next year but I finally got it fully checked out by Nakdoc yesterday, the big Frako caps replaced, and now she's humming a lovely tune. Here she is:

Nice addition to your collection of decks, Bob. Most of us, who are into open-reel, are probably salivating at the chance to get the same deal you got with your Revox B77.

Nando.

Actually, Nando, that IS my collection of decks.

All the others have found good homes. Think I'll stick for a while now (he says, hopefully).

Bob: I guess downsizing to a more modest residence means paring back to the essentials. Only two open-reel decks is going to be tough. Fortunately, servicing of your decks is reasonably close to home.

Nando.
