The Official Reel To Reel 'Porn" Thread

My son digs the TC-765... Caught him staring at it on Superbowl Sunday :)

Beautiful shot there, John!

Also like your change-up with your avatar.

I'm sorry if I posted improperly in this thread, I don't mean to be a problem.

All good man, see if you can post some pics of those machines, I'm interested in what the tape path/heads look like as well. =)

Jaetee - some ad agency could do wonders with that shot. It just captures admiration. Beautiful.

Here is my Akai GX-635D. My first 10.5" deck. I had always wanted one and when I saw this on Craigslist for $175 I drove as fast as I could to get it. Lucky Cat on top helps monitor the recordings. LOL

Look at that stack of R2R decks Robert has! Nice. Even with all the big machines, I get a kick out of the Sony tabletop model. I have a couple of tabletop models as well.

Mike: One of the nicest model of Akais out there of that vintage. The GX-635D gives up nothing to the GX-747 in performance. Screaming deal on buying yours.

Nando.

I have all this equipment and I cant remember when I last used any of it:sad7: Tapes............ Don't even ask:tongue4:

I just gave my 636 to Nick for shipping and the money I owe him for the cassettes, have to pack it.

He wanted a 635D on his wish list and I asked him if he would like the 636 as it wasn't being used and might need some repairs and apparently that works for him.

So it will hopefully get more use than it could have here and all the accessories and manuals are included.

reel pr0n

Thankfully my RT-1011 was fixed up and my brother delivered it here tonight. Having a few beers and here is some fantastic reel porn to add to the thread.

The pimped out 707 deck is complimentary of Des.

Enjoy the pics and keep the reel pr0n coming.

Some spectacular pics all. Nothing flashy here, but it works tip top and it is quite a workhorse at that. And I do personally love the vintage styling of the old TEAC machines, even if I do need to eventually replace the side panels on this one as they're a bit rough in spots.
