I am learning from this thread as I wont ever be able to afford a new pair:sad1:. But I may at some point build my own from scratch as well, as I am quite impressed with the KG4's that I had refinished.:thumbleft::coffee2:
This tread is quite an inspiration to build a set. At least it will be here for future reference:blob5:

I only had a brief moment to listen to a pair of Klipschorns before they were sold to a buyer at Innovative Audio last year.






Thanks to Lee and Jani, I do have the Speaker Plans book. But, I have contemplated using a friend of mine, who is a carpenter and cabinet maker, to help build the enclosures. It would be a winter-time project.

Kev, while your in Home Depot gettin the metric bolts, get some 3 amp fast blow glass fuses........I run 5's ands it costs me a woof once in awhile. There is a 5 amp in one of em.....make them 3 or 4 but not 5..........unless........
