Because I didn't get the durned thing.

To end the misery of anticipation, it would have been a Pioneer SA-7100.

It probably still is a Pioneer SA-7100, just not residing at your place.

Now if you could just get Sam to spill the beans about his exotic Mac. :cyclops:

Mac is great but Pioneer is more on the planet for me.

My NIB Teac AX-10 arrived from a TH member today though.

That's a Dolby unit, right? I have one of those Nak "Hi-Com" units that came with a 660zx I got off of CL a few months back. Dang thing doesn't work. Need some skeezers (that's "schematics" for the non-inclined) to fix it.

Mate it with a TX-9100 and breed an SK-71.

Speaking of new gear. I still haven't broken out the Tara Labs to get my whole system going yet. Was waiting for someone to want to try them. Waiting for the guys DAC to get here and ship his wires. I'll leave it at that.

No I won't. I own both for different reasons. New and vintage. I'm going to teach my grandson how to jam when he gets here. Teach him what good music is suppose to sound like. LOL

I like the Tara Labs. I have them in my systems now. I'll probably buy a few more pair. Ask Elroy how they sound. I think he bought 4 pairs from me. He likes them. I was going to let you guys try them. To see if ICs can make a difference. I may order some today. I need 4 or 5 pairs since I built a new system.

If no one wants to try them I'll stick them in my system.

right now 'good equipment' would be a decent copy of XP or a new computer. I lost my main computer HD and my backup and at the moment am barely using a 4 GB Toshibe HD with ME.

No, I don't think I have a driver for my onboard video and I'm in 16 bit VGA.

So don't cry for me, Stewietina, I'm in ass whupping mode on the problem until I can't see well (oops), have trouble waddling about (ahhhh, no)...

Just don't freak if I'm not about much or coming to you from the public library for a while.

Larry, will finish the task at hand in 1.5 weeks and carry on!

Orange, what do you have for computer gear currently? If you need a HD, I can send you a gently used IDE or Sata HD. I have some of each in the 100 to 200gb variety. Let me know what you need to get your computer back up to speed?
