The 25 700B's Look Like A Done Deal

Kinda left myself open :bootyshake: there didn't I?

You sure did, I found it quite amusing that you posted 1 minute after I said "Nav's cue to jump in", then you did, but you left yourself open and I jumped in and did what you would normally do. :bootyshake:

the new will blow your shit away....

I've seen some discussion over different trannies, etc in a ground up design. (i.e. 2 torroidals, greater secondary voltage, improved heatsinking, etc)

Wondering if this can/will be part of the ground up options? If ya gonna go, go big??

The entire deal esp. the group buy and funding is supersweet for Phoenix members. I like it and would assist any way I can.

Thought maybe the fish got ya Scott, glad to see ya. The Monster Mono's are a two time project so far. A thread has been started. Near as I can figure they are going to be about 5,000.00 a pair. Stephen in Phoenix gets the first pair so he can pay for my pair. A lot of fabricating on these Scott, power supplies alone will be 2K just in parts. And we have no idea how it will sound yet, might be a complete bust... Joe said his board will be just fine with +/- 118 volts DC , so really the only question we have to answer is how much SOA is going to be eaten up on the 21196's at full throttleand I can't real world test them at that so it will all be on loads. May finally get to max out my 2,000 watt load though. 1500 per into 4 should warm them right up....

Lee, I think this is a great idea. As you know, I'm on disability and that limits my income options. But I will be glad to help out with building an amp or two if the details can be worked out. Like you, I want to spread the word about these amplifiers. I've got two and I love them...just love them. And they aren't even fully complimentary, yet. :happy7: I'm amazed every time I turn on my hi fi.

I want to support this quest...it's a great and noble cause. The people out there with the ability to do a quality build is limited, and if I can help out I'll do my best. Keep me posted...

That's a shame too Dave as you appear to be a very capable tech...

Isn't this what people use money orders for?

Not that I'm suggesting you should...cause that would be wrong.

I've found cash to be legal tender for all debts public and private....

Unless your trying to buy a 12k car. Then they do everthing in their power to get ya to take a loan. 3 dealerships even raised the price on me when I told them cash. It's like wtf happened to cash is king???

If a dealership had tried that with me I would have "thrown the table of the moneychangers".....

Yeah I'm still blown away that's how it is these days. They must get a nice kickback for the loans. I don't understand it.

That part is weird, but they're supposed to report you to the IRS at somewhere right around that dollar amount if you pay cash from what I understand.

Sad day when paying for something is suspicious.

I deal with a lot of car dealers. I'll ask about it if I can remember.

Yeah it was last year at tax time lol. That tax money plus the money I had saved was right at 12k. But I refuse to get a car loan ever lol!! Not a payment I want at all. I see so many broke ppl in new cars and I have 1 good car and 1 junker to get me around. I can't live in my car so screw that payment...

Kevin is a car salesman, we shall consult with him...

Sad but true... Cash doesn't mean a thing anymore.... All dealers want ya to finance.... Even If they can't jack up the interest rate given to the dealer by the lender all lenders will pay the dealership a flat finders fee just for financing with them... That fee is not alot.. 150 bucks maybe but better than nothing. If ya pay cash the dealer gets nothing but your cash ! Now... NEVER HEARD OF RAISING THE PRICE BECAUSE YOU PAY CASH... The price is the price..... But.. Cash isnt king anymore !!!! And yea... Thats sad !
