Sam Palermo???? Nahhhh, he doesn't know anything about TEAC....Ha! After 40 years dealing with it, he just re-invented many of them and make them better :bounce:

Sam, please let me know when my Z 5000 arrive in your hands. The guy send it to you directly from Canada. Please remember that my Z 7000 is the next after you fix this one.

Hi Nando,
I looked at the service manual for the RX505 and the Dolby Chip is a TEA0652.
There is no reason he should take a year to get it but I know how long repairs go.

Thanks for looking it up for me, Sam. I have been patient and I do want this cassette deck to be another deck I can depend on for some time for recording.

I will try to scan the article tonight. I may lose some of the detail out of the edges of the scan because of folding the magazine over at the binding.
