Stephens Phase Linear 400--In for the works.

Finally got to break out FaboNav's extremely righteous board holder, right channel done..

I'm glad they're working out - but you can remove those slip on pieces if you want. The board holder bracket was designed to accommodate the White Oak controller board. The added attachments were to accommodate the older style controller boards as those had components close to the edge so the slot had to be discontinuous.

Let me know if you have any changes you would like to see.

I can send one out that can strip or I can send one out that can solder but both? You might not like either the soldering or the stripping.

Nav has a whole fleet of ladies that can strip and slobber for you Lee... ohhh you said solder :-)

IT LIVES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Absolutely the cleanest , purest sounding 400 I've heard yet.
Simply incredible...

Not done with it yet, I think he saw the dazzling copper heatsinks and he decided to go all in. Some WBT speaker posts, and RCA jacks will be here tomorrow, and not the cheap stuff. Been wanting to fondle some of those......

Joe, I also need a Rev "B" light board for this one.

And to top it all off, this amp is getting Cabbage Cased to the daughters place in Phoenix and will be hand delivered by the Jani and I to his very door. I would suspect a lenghty listening session would ensue...

Lee, that's soooooo cool!

The naming ceremony was last night. It wound up being "Beauteast"----Beauty---Beast, as she was heard talking to one gentleman yesterday--" I can kick your ass, or take ya dancing, your call" a saucy little thing she is....

She's gonna provide some numbers tonight, a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do. She did insist I be gentle, followed by a little smirk. Might be kinda scary with the Beauteast and THE PIG in the same room.....

Thanks Dave, I think so too. Any time spent at Stephens I consider a rare privledge, I mean the guy has 3 pairs of K-Horns for God's sake, and some esoteric high end stuff to drive em, and he uses the "loaner PIG" on most of it. The Pig is actually the old lab mule that had to be retired early because it was known ONLY to the state of California that too much Pig was a cacinogen. It now tours the country as a replacement for the amp that is sent to me for a conversion. I do tend to keep em for awhile. So to keep the customer from getting the Joneses and finally withdrawls, the Pig has graciously provided that service. The Pig is not all that he appears, he's up to something.....

I might have named it BeastButy - the u is pronounced like a double oh. :-o

Nice job on this one Lee. Did you get the new connections yet?

No, waiting in anticipation. Nice to review something that subjective on someone else's buck.....

Joe, is less IMD a hallmark of an FC over a quasi?? I believe I hear a difference there....
