
I used the middle style (satin nickel finish) for 1 of the TT bases that I made recently and like it, for the most part you really only see the base and bottom half of the spike. I used a satin nickel cone like the rosewood pictured for the other one and it has a smaller base plate which I didn't like as much because that part was the most visible.I'm new to this stuff, so I did the intelligent thing and bought 4 different types, to play around with on my various gear. The rosewood's don't have pads, I'm thinking of having some made. This should be a blast! I was inspired by Stephen Evans many spiked footers
I assume he would be thinking of a rose wood pad to match the rosewood spikeCraig, dimple some .50cent pieces for the base. Hell of a lot less than buying/having made.
