I have been messing with this for a couple of days. Have to hand drill some holes. I may start soldering soon.These aren't stock resistors. I just ordered some Solen caps

I was in the process of hand drilling the holes to get the leads through.It is flat now. LMAO Keep an eye on me you never know what I may do. I may put some caps in series to get the proper value.

Lee LMAO I do still remember Ohms law. I did get me a small edumacation in that here building. Unless I was wearing dark shades. Then I was asleep. Haven't solder many boards. Do you use a lot of Flux? On the boards? I'm use to point to point soldering. I've done a few boards. Just pluging away is all I'm doing. I do need help at times.

No, I don't flux unless it looks slightly corroded or like on a large tab on the transformer where you want a lot of heat in a big hurry. I do de-flux all my board work when done with acetone then after that dries, spray it with WD-40 and brush off the excess. Leaves a very nice, clean board.
 
I have circuit wash. I quit using contact cleaner.If you can get it. Try LPS 3.It is a corrosive inhibitor. It gets waxy. No air can get past it.

Why didn't you go with Sonicaps instead of Solen? You could go with the Parts Express Film and Foil, or Auricaps. I like the Solens alright..Just wondering why you picked them? Even some nice Russian PIO's would be nice in certain spots..
 
Got my silver RCAs today. Not going gold on this one. Lee and I checked out a Vol.Pot today.I think I'm going with it.

They are some potent stuff. I used to take em..now I only get Percocets...

I'm on to much other stuff.They won't give me Percs. They use to. I'm on Ectos, Flexeril. That is for my back. Won't discuss the other meds.

Well I got a bad cough this evening. Well I ordered the Munfords. Got everyone paid off but Lee. Ordered the TKD attenuator. Might by the time I'm done order 2 mono TKDs for the gain. Now to figure out my tubes for it. Will do the phono amp section later.

If they don't take it off my order does anyone want a Mundorf Silver and oil 10uf 1200v cap cheap? LOL

I knew you were going to ask that. I'll get back to ya on that. Another one of those long ago conversations on AK. In low level sections of any decent pre-amp you will see a lot of polystyrene caps. The Onix have a bunch of them, The 3300 has them in the phono section , the Spec 1 has em everywhere.
