Heh..Heh, The 850 Spyder was not exactly a high performance sports car. But it was a rag top & a stick shift. I look on Craigs List now & then and they are not cheap anymore. Neither are Opel GT's or Pinto's. I'll just have to be content with the 8 vehicles I have now. Unless I see a bargain. I recently bought an 18 foot car hauler trailer to bring more junk home! I'll have to google the coupe. My first car was a Sunbeam. I had to go to Canada to find parts!

Really, a Fiat 850 Spyder?

I had a 1960 something 850 coupe for a while in the late 1970's - 843cc's - 47hp.

I wanted a Fiat 124 spider back in the day cause I could not afford the AC Cobra that was in the window of Thorough Bread Motors on Marine in North Van. I ended up with a BMW 2002 which I put 200,000 miles on. That car was no Fiat

Marco is a real asset with many interesting threads! Good thing I don't still have my 72 Fiat 850 spyder! I'd be bugging him for parts!

Here in South Mo, 15 degree's tomorrow night!
I need a few more warm days to get some outdoor spray painting done on my car lift. Alway's a few dollars short & a few days late.................
Thank you guys !

That’s to funny. Fenders were cheap and did rust out on the bimmer. My x5 now has plastic fenders , there you have evolution. I do not now of a Fiat without rust. You need to be carefull picking them up Gary. They may break in two.

Fiats, Triumphs. MG's, Morgans, Etc, The first thing I'd do is grab the top of the seat back & see if I could rock the seats right out of the floor! Heh..Heh

I had three Fiat 850's. My Mom had a friend that that retired and did not want them. Fiat 850's 1960-1970's cant recall so long ago. He gave all three to me. One was supposed to be some kind of special racing edition. One hard top standard one I guess and one convertible. Played with them for a while then I gave them all three away to a friend. That was back in 2002-03.

I got one of those tubes last week. Along with backplane & control board kits. I have not opened the tube for fear of loosing parts before I'm ready to go.
So......................Open yours & show me whats in there! Please.
I did open the other boxes & put the parts in little tubs.
If you show me yours.............I'll show you mine.

Hey , pretty nifty! I did not realize they were already soldered up. I thought it would be a parts kit like the other boards. I can still probably F it up !

The kit is some kind of awesome. Took the face plate and the top cover off. Took the meters out. Cleaned the plastic lens and the meters. Sanded and painted the bezels. Snapped the meters back together. Put the bezels back in after drying, then the meters. De soldered the original light strip. Soldered in the new one and bam ! The color is perfect. I could not believe the difference. It is like a totally different (and better) amplifier. This was one of the most straight forward simple to do upgrades that I have ever done on any piece of audio gear. Joe, this kit is fantastic ! Engineered incredibly well. There was nothing missing. Everything went together perfectly. Thank you.
