Jase first of all you're not a dumbass, just ignorant, and that can be fixed....big props for jumping in with both feet..
 
Been around long enough to know a few things by osmosis then...very cool..pipefitter..coolness...
 
The underside of the jct box cover should have a wiring diagram...
 
Don't know about that Mike, they're an unruly bunch and occasionally we get em pulling together....

yep Lee the little burgers are always trying to get back home from where they started. One way or another!

Jason buddy, has this pump always had power supplied from an extension cord?
Or is there buried wire from the house panel?

Sry phone died .. No it's nvr been powered by a extension cord. It's always been buried wire from the box but when they put in my 4in well they pulled up the wire on accident so the used it then lol. So I would need to run new wire out there.

ok, so did you look at the original breaker for the pump in the house panel?
 
Well to be API ya would BUT!!.. Do you have 220 on the generator?? AND LOOK AT THE UNDERSIDE OF THE JUNCTION BOX COVER to check for a wiring diagram....please...

Ok I have to put a hold on this till I get back from dance class lol.. But I always try myself. I hate paying ppl lol. Plus I always learn new stuff also. That's what's awesome about this place. Now I have somewhere to ask these ?'s and get good help while doing it..

Ok I'll look real quick and I'm pretty sure it wired at 220. And yes my generator does. I backfeed it through dryer when power goes out.
 
If ya gotta be there at 2 you're already late, it can wait...jeez....the girls prolly got them little feet just a movin...
 
Well shit!! There rusted so I'll have to dig out a little wrench. Your right she's ready lol so I got to run. Be back in a couple..here's a pic of the old pressure switch with the old wire comin from house and motor .

Well that was awkward! Walked in to a meeting of dancers!! I was a week early lol. So I'm back. The 220 feed coming out of my generator has a dryer plug on it. And in garage I have a old piece of wire with a dryer outlet on it. So I'm gonna try that route....
