I've totally lost the plot....
No I fried 1 voice coil on my upgraded cerwins. So that's what's getting fixed. My upgraded pair are 12's. I have 2 other pair of cerwin 15's (go figure). But there both unmodded pairs . Plus 1 of those woofers I took out with lee's audition amp lmfao. So basically I have 3 working 15" woofers that do me know good and 1 12" that's still good lol. That's why I have the upgrade my cerwin crossover thread. Trying to get a pair of these 15's worthy of the WOPL .but I just don't think it's gonna happen soon. I don't have a grand for my speaker guy to build me crossovers for the 15's. And just changing a few caps out on a cheapo CV xover just ain't gonna cut it. Seems like all my stuff is breaking at once lol. Now my computer is jacked up and won't read my dac or anything for that fact. Nvr ends lol..
These WOPL's are just too big for wot u'r trying to do.
Wot u need to do is hook up a pair of boxes PER side and wire them in series, to get the amp powering out less.
You'll still have more than ample amounts of headroom, and you won't be burning out voice coils, but still getting that 'shock and awe' factor.
Screw the arguments against about series connecting speakers. we're not dealing with audiophile here, but more so with sh*t in my pants wow factor…
…. and look around for some spare 15" JBL's (2205, 2215, 2231 etc…[they're the one's that go down the lowest]) that have a decent sized (4") voice coil to maybe swap over with the CV's. Could be just wot u'r looking for. …. and run the 15" bypassed from the internal x-o to take the load off it. It won't matter if the JBL run full range. They roll off on their own anyway.

… or as an afterthought, u could disconnect the 15" from the x-o, then reconnect it in series with the box. It would double up on the impedance, and if something goes wrong with either the box or the 15", one of 'em would go open circuit, and then save the other that isn't. (like a fuse).
(Doesn't matter, at least I understand wot I'm talking about)

Well, after much thinking, I've decided to part with my lot.
So, I've got a PL 4000 Preamp, 5100 Tuner, 200 II, 400 II, 700 II Clair Bros, and a 700 II Clair Bros without a front panel all up for grabs.
Everything worked fine a year ago, but none of it has been fired up since.
There is a JBL DSC260 active stereo 3 way x-o that normally goes with it, but I might keep it, as I'm using it on another setup.
Only problem is, that they're all in Melbourne Australia.
:(
