I got a question . On Bertha . Seems like I get a ton of background noise. The louder I turn the pre the more it's there. It's not a hum or a buzz just noise. If I pause the song it's still there. And with the song paused I can turn the pre louder and the noise get louder with it. Prob a dumb ? But it's been drivin me nuts cause I do notice it layered in behind the music .

Flip your plug? If it's not that then it's something Lee or Jer might have to attend to. Your sending Bertha out soon anyway right? Could be something with the pre to. Does you DAC have a volume control? If so, hook it directly to Bertha and see if you still have the noise, if you don't it's the preamp

Another ? When I unplug it should I wait till the thump before I plug it back in or what? Or can I pull it flip it and put her right back in ?

If it's still there use the pre section on the 939, and then the amp section, should be able to isolate it that way...
