Wired everything on that end now we start working our way to the right, tie in the DC rotect, Speaker posts, and RCA inputs, dressing the wires up as we go. Then the heatsinks and the outputs, then the board. 3-4 hours. But not tonight, I'm about done.

That's looking really clean Lee. No - not the bench - but the wiring is SWEEEEEEET. That is a learned art form and it takes a while to master. Getting it to look good and function well at the same time can be quite the challange. Coolness.

That was not a rushing you ? Lol. Even with pics I'm still in the dark a bit lol. Like them big blue round things. Those are compassitors right. And what is the piece it sits on the wires come out? I'm sure that's where the power comes in. Just trying to grasp how it makes it way from the outlet to the outputs lol

I know ya weren't Jase, The big blue round things are the power supply filtering caps. They provide a resevoir of current to draw from and smooth out the ripple of AC current left from converting AC to DC. The small , square thing between them is a full wave bridge rectifier.....AC goes in and DC comes out......magical little boxes...as the Larrt used to say ....PFM....Pure F&^%$ Magic...the terminal strip on the left side is where the transformer leads are tied to on the primary side, and sort of works as a distribution cehter. The BR and the bus bar are the tie points for the secondary of the transformer.

It's really hard to neaten up something when that was the furthest thing from their mind when it was built. Some stuff we just have to live with.......well .....for awhile......
