It does take some time to get those readings and at clipping with a four ohm load you will be able to do a stir fry on your loads. Have you measured the droop when testing with the eight ohm load? I've always wondered about that but it seems with the numbers you've shown us the power supply seems to hold its own.
 
Couldn't get past 110 watts at 4 ohms with 5 amp rail fuses....I'll be monitoring the supply rails on the next test.
 
Did you forget how big my load is??

That is what I have in mine now Lee. A good compromise performance and saving components when fuses blow.

Sine testing to clipping levels is way hard on the amp - especially at the higher frequencies as there is more energy under the curve. Stuff gets hot quick.

As I recall worst case power dissipation is at 1/3 power. Since the outputs run linear they have a relatively high voltage across them and some current through them at 1/3 power. Dissipation = EI. The old standard for preconditioning an amp was 1/3 power for 1 hour. Supposedly Bob Carver took great issue with the standard. The P/L amps didn't fair so well.
 
A good story from ED. At the time those standards came out A.P. Vanmeter interpreted them a different way. He warmed them up for 5 minutes on /10 iff until the on time was 1 hour total, the agency that was overseeing that just threw their hands up and said whatever!

Cool - they worked for me and my biggest fear was the temperature that the nylon screws would be subjected to but I did some experimentation first and they seem to hold up well. I made a few more of the fat finger hex screws so if you need some more let me know. Your build is looking good as always.
