Rick Stout's Pioneer Spec 4

For anybody who has worked on wire wrapped chassis, one of the main goals is not to disturb the wraps to the point where they break and have to be soldered. After breaking 3 on the left channel and 2 on the right on Chris'., I stopped and thought about it for a half a minute and turned the board 90 Degrees and isolate that brittle harness so no flexing is required to rework the amp board.

What guage is the wire that is wrapped?

Hows that 3300 and stable of 700B's treating you Doug??

Just fine, thanks. Does anyone make a amp switcher? I have a PL400 that needs exercising too.

Doug, I've heard of some but can't recall any now. On the passive side there are the DBX 200 and 400 routers, line level stuff but they should work.

Amp boards done, on to the meter amp board.......

Making Stout's Fat Spec lean and mean! :blackknight:

Won't release relay to output jacks. Protection circuit is probably doing it's thing.

We all know it will conform in due time, Herr Kommandant!

In due time are the key words there Steve, has been in previous sorties....

Meter amp board done......time to attack the grunge....

That is never good when you cannot get the offset to settle in...

I can stand a little unsettling, it's the total lack of range needed to at least get it in the same galaxy....

Bad 47uf/100 volt cap on the power supply section of the protection circuit. Bad "New" cap, cause it was put in backwards , by me, dam, nit.

Everything steady as old rock now. Nice having two Spec 4's here. They keep each other honest, kinda, sorta, maybe....

Rick, you're getting a good one back..
