Replacement Lenses for the 700B

For you guys that put in orders with me, you'll get a new center piece and a new blue filter for about $18-20. We'll let the flea-bayers pay for the tooling. I wouldn't think that price is too bad.

The artwork looks real good Perry - can't wait to see the final product. Do you know what font was used? Good job with this.
 
Not sure on the font yet. I'll find out when I get them. It's not a perfect match but my wopl aint a real PL anyway.
 
Just have my iPhone right now but it look great to me. Was that pic to compare fonts - yours vs original?
 
no, those are both the new plates. One says WOPL 1000 Watts R.M.S
the other says Seven Hundred Watts R.M.S

They have an original I gave them to use to match fonts
 
Just got a call from the Screen Printer dude, The first load of Faceplate inserts (the ones with "WOPL 1000 Watts R.M.S") is ready for pick up with the second order ("Seven Hundred Watts R.M.S") right behind and hopefully done today also. I'll post pics tonight so you can decide if you want any. This guy does nice work (expensive but nice). Thanks

Can't wait to see the finished ones Perry! Such a great idea. I think this board is the #1 source of anything 400 and 700B and all of it is top quality and better then OEM
 
I'm excited. I am going to build the Dim Bulb Tester on Sunday. I have been ohming out my build and it's looking ok. Still got several hours of AC wiring and then it's nearing time to put the juice to it. This has been fun and I think I learned a lot. You are right, this is THE place to be. I have all the parts (except a DC prot board) for my second unit but I should probably wait and make sure I have #1 correctly built. I will keep it open for reference though.

About that DBT: Do you have a source for 100W light bulbs? I think they've gone the way of the Dodo, but- look for 3-way bulbs. They have two filaments, one at 30W and one at 70W, just make sure that the lamp switch puts both filaments in the circuit and it should work.
 
Here is the first batch. Please keep in mind that it is almost impossible to get good pics of a stereo up close so I did the best I could. These are the WOPL inserts. The others will be ready Monday. Let me know if you guys are interested. They will be $20 with free shipping and a new blue insert. If you message me I will give you my PayPal address. The screener left an 1/8 inch border without paint but I am touching them up and they look nice. Remember the blue filter gets taped in from the back side of the faceplate. I put one in my new rig and it looks tits. Remember These are the WOPL's and the stock styles will be ready Monday. This one is a little dusty (polycarb collect dust like crazy sorry). Trying too backlight these for pics sucked but you get the idea.
