That's First Contact

My first contact with the That's brand of cassette was back in 2012, when Daren (Dazen1) sent a collection of blanks along with his mix tape.

Daren - among a few other members - were generous with their gift tapes. It started a tradition of sending along some nice blank tapes to try out with each mix tape exchange.

I will not be missed! :p
I had never even heard of "That's" until after I got back into cassettes again.
there in USA they weren't much common and were sold under the brand Triad.

first time i used a That's, it was a EM-X back in 1986 and soon became a fan of the brand and, back then, I used to buy mostly Sony, TDK (a bit less) and That's.

as a producer, That's was Taiyo Yuden, one of the main producers of the raw stuff (particles, etc) to make metal tapes and, on top of their various metal particle models they used to experiment quite a lot around formulations.
Later, Taiyo Yuden brand got more famous with its own high quality CD-R blanks.
