If any of you Clair 700 series II owner see your Serial Number on my list, let me know and I'll fill your name in. I'm missing a bit of paperwork after the move but the Serial
numbers on my list are correct for the amps coming out of Hawaii.

You got that right. Hence the labor involved to sand, sandblast, scrub,... etc... I knew it would be some work.

I love the big hauls. That shit put out some serious power at shows. Figure a minimum 30,000 watts sitting in those images YEAH MUTHAFUKKER!!! HEAR ME ROAR :headbang:

Shipping was about $2000 for the 2 pallets. I'm glad they were expensive or I would never have had the chance to do this. Somebody else would have snagged all these amps. I lost my ass, but it has been fun and I made friendships which will last for life.

So are they ALL accounted for so far?

Yeah pretty much. We know there are probably a few other Clair's kickin about the universe and I am definitely concerned about guys building "bogus" Clair's even if "they won't be sold". If something happens to the builder and the family is left with them you can damn sure bet that they will be sold to somebody on the street.

I still have to go though my stacks of paperwork and fill in a few blanks. Some of the units I sold on eBay (about 5) when I needed to finance getting the WOPL ball rolling I really didn't pay too much attention to serial numbers but I have names so over the next few weeks I'll fill in the blanks. I knew there was consecutive serial numbers units I was planning on keeping but a couple slipped through the cracks. How reckless of me:puke:

Oh, almost forgot, there were 2 D-500's in the shipment (Glenn), and 3 or 4 ( I think it was 3 plus a bunch of parts) PL-400's (Dean), serial numbers of the units I did record, but they were not officially Clair's.

The way I understand it all 700's have aluminum chassis but only Clair had steel chassis? Then if an amp is in question on authenticity then a magnet on the chassis should tell what it really is.
