Nope, I haven't touched it. Two kids, a 50 hour per week job, and a fiancee that likes attention take up most of my time. She's headed back to Georgia to visit her family next weekend. I'll have to carve out a few hours to back those outputs out while she's gone. I was just planning on doing the filter caps and DC protect, but this issue has me strongly considering a full WOPL conversion.

It’s interesting watching people go through this cycle with 40 year old equipment.

If you want any duration of trouble free operation from this amp, replacing both the marginally assembled point to point sometimes soldered components and original control board is mandatory.

Give the White Oak components a try and if you need assistance, I don’t live far away…

however when one does that...its no longer "this" amp...
 
i got my new pl20 in last week...thanks woa...
nasty outside...cold, rainy windy...
good day to start on it!!!
this will be my 4th wopl...
quasi comp...
gives me 2 full comp, 2 quasi comp, 2 stock pl14s...
if anyone has a pl14 they dont need...i would like one to strip and replace parts...i have most parts...as i dont have a spare stock machine...just the two in the system, one pushing mids, the other on tweeter patrol...all of my boards are not worth salvaging...seen better days!!!
