there is absolutely no need for a resistor to discharge those ps caps....save your money...you can use it to buy more underwear...
Ha! You won't have a transistor in the circuit if you use plastic screwsi do have a bunch of those nylon bolts and nuts...
new face plate for the 8 fin with bad meters...
waiting on some vu meters...
need to scotch brite it again....
after cutting more windows...
cutting holes for vu meters...kinda like a window...What is Cutting Windows Gene???
not much...even in 10 watt mode...Very nice Gene. Shoot, use it as is for the tweeters or mid frequency drivers. Meters really don't move anyways do they?

i started with 240 grit then 320...then scotch brite...mostly as a test run and prepping aluminum...was not pristine when i got it....i have meter windows to cut when the meters arrive.....I can’t really see how the face finish came out, but to get the classic “brushed” finish, tape or glue down 180-220 grit range (test to see what you like) on a piece of plate glass or a surface plate. Then set a guide block of some sort next to the paper.
Now rub the face across the paper, using the guide to keep it straight, until the entire surface is evenly “brushed”. Clean well with acetone and shoot it with clear.
noted!!!They anodize the plate after sanding so the color will change. You can try tinting with a clear…
First layer clear, so it’s easy to remove fukups. Then tinted clear, and then clear top coat. Same as a sunburst on a guitar.
The anodize does that...looks like the pl original face plate is an alloy...i am sure what i have is the soft 1100....definite difference in color....
