there are many diy led vu meters on the web...
looks easy...just need one driven by speakers and not by low level inputs...

also I think you could make a nice wood one w Cylon meters w all your wood working skill and it would be unique

i will keep the original faceplate and meters in case i stumble upon a way to repair or replace these...i have already bought a led upgrade from joe..not knowing the meters were bad ....
could be an interedting twist....
and build another front panel with led vu meters...

Part of the appeal of these amps are the giant meters. It's going to be very hard to find any others as large, and a good fit to the bezel is unlikely. I'd sit it aside until the correct meters are available. No doubt you have penty of other projects to focus on Gene.
