phase linear 400

rechecking wires this morning...
i was right...
left and right fused b-_in and fused b-_in are NOT the same...according to the docs...
i dont think i missed this time...lol
Well you are right or you found a Typo? What does Joe think and the Forum?
all boards show it wired like the one you wired to the left board.
only advances on the Left side is for service which you could flip the board to the Left.

Either way it will work.
Going on vacation, leaving right now (Rock Fest Cadott Wi)
Good luck

What looks strange???
well, i already moved it....then went on to double check the connections....
then i found it again....wow....gonna be one of those days....

i moved the left channel fused b-_out wire to fused b-_in....
it should still work....i really dont want to move that wire again....
i just seemed strange to me that left and right was different on only that one pin....
of course....i dont understand your design as you do....
as well as a lot of other things...

can i just leave them alone ....where both sides are connected to fused b-_in....

music man....we were both right....lol
no wrong answers here!!!!
thanks....
i had moved it back as your and georges suggestion....
i will leave it there....
i think joe had a new method....just to make it easier....
as he said....both ways work...
just glad i originally did not miss that....
i feel a bit less stupid....
lol

I understand now. There used to be a Fused B- on the left side of the board along with a Fused B- Out on the right side of the board, IN THE PRIOR REVISION with the pico fuses.
This revision uses real fuses, so there was no longer any room for Fused B-, so use Fused B- out on the right side. Hmmm, somewhat confusing unless it's spelled out.

this is a perfect example of why i want the hand holding and asking a million questions part....
lol
i feel lost sometimes....well, most of the time...
but, i put it back as you suggested....and then discovered that i really was not wrong...
since it really dont matter...i will leave it as i have it now....
i was kinda glad....as i have to tilt the board to install the bias transistors....and that blue wire was a hinderance....
now that it is in the left corner....i becomes part of the "hinge" that i will tilt to add the bias transistors....
alls well that ends well...
good morning btw...

Yes if you can put up with the aesthetic clutter in the lower left corner. You already have ignored the instructions in at least 4 other places so one more does not matter much :-)

Both of those point still exist George, we just use the lower right corner point for the left backplane and the lower left corner point for the right backplane (just to even things out :-))IMG_5485.JPG

please accept my apologies....i am not aware of any instructions that i have ignored....and have only showed you the utmost respect...
and my only goal is an amp that i built and that i can be proud of....would be counter productive to not listen to you....and others who have done this before....we all started at the beginning...
enjoy your vacation....

done for today...not much more i can do without the bias transistors....wont be long now...bias transistors in the road!!!

more chum!!!
