after i saw beautiful mind....i went to google and found john f nash jr....and his address....
his office phone answering machine was full...but, i stumbled on his neighbors number....
i called them....they gave me his home number....i talked with them a few minutes....
she actually said that if i thought he was looney toons i should meet his son....lol
i called him twice....first time we talked about 10 minutes....
second time his wife answered....alisha i think was her name...
and then she put him on the line....i think he liked the publicity...
they can only say no....they cant take off your shirt and whip you...

princeton professor that won nobel prize for economic sciences in 1994....they made a movie about his life, a beautiful mind...russel crowe....played him...if memory serves me...
he was a very interesting person....a bricks shy of a wheel barrow load....but an incredibly smart man....

really a nice guy....did a special for me and my new girlfriend at one of his concerts...
just because i asked....lol
i found his dressing room....he actually answered the door when i knocked...

In an attempt to share the wealth, I will offer a tip that was given to me by wattsabundant, who knows more than I do about this stuff -
For high energy AC circuits, the proper bypass capacitor is the ceramic X1 Type or the Y2 Type. These caps are considered "Safety Capacitors" because they are far more heat resistant than film caps which are more suited to audio signals.
The X1 Type is known as the 'across the line' capacitor as in a connection from Line to Neutral. These caps are rated for 440VAC and will pass a 4000V short test.
The Y2 Type is a Line to Ground capacitor and rated for 300VAC and will pass a 5000V open test.
I also use these Vishay X and Y rated safety capacitors across the AC switches to quench the arc and make the PL700B / PL700 Series II switch contacts last longer.
The UL spec for these capacitors in our application is .015uF and I use .01uF which is close enough.

Now for the good part: These caps are only $0.25 each when you but 10 or more using Mouser P/N 72-VY2103M63Y5US63V0.

Unfortunately everybody else must think these are a great idea as they're not available at Mouser or other well-used suppliers. 5/23 delivery expected ?!

we love our music...she would be right there...she pretty much makes every step with me...she really is a good partner...i know you will find this hard to believe...but, i can be difficult...
 
i was invoiced for the two 400s yesterday...wow...
possibly today...or tomorrow...
this weekend to strip one down!!!
got in an order to joe...and an extra dcp board .
if theres one thing i have learned...never run an amp without dc protection...lol

All is well here. Soggy but it's all good. Been tearing apart the D500 I got a few weeks ago.
