yes sir, this is the pic of the soldering station....on this small stuff...i run it about 625....Gene, what soldering equipment do you have? Is it calibrated? Fresh solder? A little rosin paste flux for the copper bus bar?
and i do have a bigger non calibrated weller iron and a weller soldering gun for the heavy stuff....100/140 watts....sorry to say my calibrated station is not a weller...but, it does work...has some helping hands, solder holder and sponge setting....yes sir, this is the pic of the soldering station....on this small stuff...i run it about 625....
fresh solder...??? i really dont know the age of the solder...been around quite a while....used it also to solder the wiring in my home...i did not use wire nuts...i soldered every joint...always wanted to do that....
yes sir i do have flux...normally dont use it...unless working on older or tarnished stuff...you kinda can tell when its best to put some on there....
get you some FRESH solder and NO-Clean flux. If you use the Rosin flux, it will take you a week to get everything clean. The rosin makes a nicer joint but it's a bitch to clean when you have to build 2 back plane boards and the control board and then 5000 wires... 63/37 rosin core solder in about the .063 diameter. Save the solder gun for the house wiring.
what hasnt inflation affected???Inflation has taken its toll on solder pricing...
which flux floats your boat sniff???
