Two meters, comparative resistance checks with unit unplugged. That will narrow down where the issue is. Remember there's been many postings about particular resistors on the board that go bad. Never paid attention to which ones as I don't repair those boards.

Yeah man. A pair or nickle plated made in USA Switchcraft jack's with 4 fiber washers. Glad you can use them!

not as glad as i am...thats twice in the last two days...your care package helped out a bunch....thanks mr. george...
i ended up changing out the 14b that came in the new to me 8 fin...and putting in the one i got from you...i can trouble shoot it at any time...in case i do something stupid like buy another...lol
the pots were very dirty....took several deoxes to get it to adjust...
checked all on the board before the switch out....looked good...i had robbed 2 1304s out of it...but had bought some from mr. joe....replaced them...
have both bias set at 350....and offset is .002...both channels...
i have no good xpl909s left....i have three that leak...not shorted....but definitely pass voltage in reverse...they are set aside...
at least i was able to repopulate the amp with xpl909s....barely...lol
all of the ones in the 8 fin were shorted c to e...
i have only 4 fairchild 909s....that are good....and a dozen or so drivers....and one 410...


.....AND THEN THERE WAS MUSIC.....
it plays nicely....have it hooked to junk speakers until the dcp comes in...
will let it burn in all day tomorrow....

i kicked marvins butt....twice....once just for good measure...
lol

am going to shower...i am tired....this consumes me...
but, i am happy!!!

i just do it to learn...i had a bunch of spare parts....cost nothing extra to get it up and going...
will order some extra parts...as i am low...

joe is low on 2n1304 and 2n1305
does anyone have 3 of the 1304s and 1 of the 1305 that can be mailed to joe so he can put in his package...
i can send a check through my internet banking or thru paypal...
