His last post-----

can find transmitters and receivers all day, but no transceivers (don't need duplex, neither!).

We tow aircraft across the field from our ramp to the terminal, and our brake rider communicates directly with the tower, but also confirms with the tug operator, who in turn communicates back to the brake rider. I guess two transmitters and receivers could be purchased which could then be wired into one box, one jack...

I was only singling out avionics guys as they might have something in mind even a dumb airframes guy could concoct. __________________

It's on hold as I had to clear my area for several hurry-hurry-rush-rush projects. I'm doing my hands on stuff for this at my work space in my spare time - the spare time hasn't existed for a while and now my space has been cleared of my fun stuff and now I have other junk on it! One would think with sequestration a possibility that test and evaluation would suffer but we're busier than hell now.

I did use the HP 8903A to test some instrumentation channels for the 3dB roll off points for the frequency response of a few of our instrumentation telemetry signal conditioner circuits. I compared these numbers with our measurements using a spectrum analyizer and they tracked well. Just wanted to get more familiar with this test insturment.

One of our requirements is to measure the environmental flight conditions of a new drone that the navy will be using in the future. This data will be used to define the flight envelope and also for future payload electronics. We installed multiple accelerometers and other sensors to help define the this environment. Our first flight is not too far off - or so I'm told!! Too much fun.
