Phase Linear 200 Series 2 on loan

I really do wonder if you farted into a high end microphone, how "accurately" those horns would reproduce the sound :laughing9:

that reminds me of the time.....

.... there was this chick in a band i worked for, and one night she had garlic prawns for dinner.
well, she really overdid the garlic, and i told her that bad breath was just an extension of your voice, and that the PA will magnify it a hundred times now, and that she was just going to kill the audience with 10,000 watts of bad breath.
you know wot? she went home!
i had to do a lot of sweet talking to get her back for the gig, but honestly how brainless do u have to be to believe such a crazy thing. anyway, she turned out to be my g/f for ages. she was very cute.....

Must have went through litres of mouth wash. lol

It sure is nice to see members lending out their equipment for others to experience. Kudos to George for the gesture. Derek, it's interesting to read your feedback as you go through the evolutionary stages of trying different components out.

Nando.

i would've quite happily have loaned him a 400, but i haven't gotten around to putting relays in it yet, and didn't want to risk blowing up his 'new' JBL's.
always happy to help those in need.... :toothy10:

Really blow his mind BD and post a pic of some "Everest's"......

The idea for the Everest was taken to the "Comittee that approves all Things" and they said NO!! Too limited a market. So the Asian salesman said how many prepaid-preorders will it take, 4-5000 they said. So, a week later he comes back with enough bread to make a run...

I'm ready for it when you are :bounce:

I'm listening to a Vinyl on my Thorens TD 165 and it sounds terrible, like when you hook up speakers with positive and negative the wrong way around on one of them. Must look into this but I am recording the album onto PC for a friend and don't want to start the recording again if this is actually how the record sounds. Frustrating.

Can't be "French Kiss", that was pretty well engineered......."The Ghost of Flight 401"

It didn't sound right to me, I only use the TD 165 for playing records that are not in the best shape as the stylus is much older on that one. Played a CD source just before and all was ok on that so it could be something wrong with the turntable itself. Too tired to tinker with it at the moment.

I was asleep for the last 3 hours in my lounger with Jazz on my chest just purring away. Doesn't take me long to sleep after she's doing that.

Kitties are such great companions.

no they're not.
they're pushy demanding little sods that keep you running to the shop every 5 minutes when they're hungry and never like wot's in the cupboard or eat the same thing twice.
rotten little sh*ts....
