I've totally lost the plot....

Well, I finally got my 'new' JBL VS2210 Speakers that I bought a couple of weeks ago all totally rebuilt and up and running.
Having a lovely time with 'em.
Powered up only using my old Crown D150 [for now], but will upgrade that to something more appropriate later. My JBL B380 sub is now being powered with a Phase Linear 400 II running bridged mono using a JBL BX63 x-over and I'm just waiting to 'win' a pair of JBL 2434's which I'll stick into the 'other' boxes at the bottom in the bottom pic and run them off a 700 II.

…. and after a whole day of shuffling about my speakers, finally settled on this set-up. [sorry but my eyes were pretty blurry by the time I took this shot. I'll take a better one once I find my floodlight to light up the room better.]

All up, I'm quite happy with the resulting sound. [… although it does make my 52" TV look a bit smaller now. :( ]

Some things never change D2…. ;)
Got my quarterly power bill. $630....and I just don't give a shit. Live in comfort, go nowhere, do nothing but stay here. Cheaper than multiple nights out over 3 months. Time for another valium.

$630 ?????
R u freakin' kidding me ????
I just got mine and it was only $305. ….
I don't get off peak hot water, get charged full price no matter what time it heats up. I have only been turning it on once every 4 days, as you are using less power if you don't maintain the full temperature. There is supposibly not enough room in the meter box to put an off peak meter in, as its a 24 unit complex. I also have an air conditioner which struggles during hot days, and no I'm not turning it off, unless I go out.

I don't have off-peak either.
my ADU is 15kW, and that's with three macs, numerous power amps etc etc…
no lighting. the macs and tv r enough for my nights. although I do have a small 7W lamp over the kitchen bench.
as far as the heat's concerned, I have a spray water bottle, and keep the front of my t-shirt damp, and sit in front of a small fan. Most effective.
I do use the AC sometimes, but only if we've had a few hot days in a row and building starts to warm up.

Power must be cheaper down there then. Fixed charges are over $80 per quarter here on their own.

I sense the sweet spot might be right from where you took the picture, George.

The sweet spot is surprisingly pretty wide Nando. I can slide my chair almost two feet either way and still be in it.
…. but you do need to be at least 3 metres from it to get it all to 'sync' up. Up close, [as you can imagine], is pretty swamped by the horn loaded mids otherwise. [my chair's about 4 metres]

That's a big arse chair G! :laughing7:

I love your set up. Those JBL's are some nice looking speaks. How do they add to the sound?

There's a TV hidden in the picture?
It just needs a tiny tiny bit of EQ'ing D, but I'll sort that out later once I've got more familiar with the active x-over.
Also needs a tad boost to the highs, so I'm adding a pair of JBL 2405 [slots] later too.
… and yes, there is a TV amongst that lot, but at only 52" it's too small to see.
:( [heh heh heh…]

DUDE!!! Your system is F&^%^$%## UP!!
I thought it was pretty good. :(

Or do u mean our power system?
That's Australia for u. We get really shafted here with pricing and services.
