Here in Tucson AZ we have had the lowest gas prices in the country consistantly I'm not sure why, we bottomed out at $1.60 and now it's climbed to $2.25 yesterday! I would like to thank the Saudi's for not ripping us a new ahole these last 6 months. They could have raised the barrel rates and didn't (why? WTFK!). We had a good run here, my company Kroger Foods gave all employees $1.00 off a gallon in January, that meant my Mom and sister paid .70 cents a gallon into their Toyota and Honda cost them $12 to fill to the brim!

They always have Steve. What is compounding the situation now is most refineries have changed over to processing heavy sour crude. Most of the increase in production is light sweet crude. And with a law against exporting crude we have too much light sweet being produced and no place to go with it. AND, where most of the new production is coming from is away from the refineries. Once again regulation is fucking things up. The constant battle to permit new pipelines and shortsighted policies only exacerbate the situation.

The number of train cars of oil derailing recently may open the pipeline sooner?
But those are Warren Buffett Burlington Northern rail cars that are derailing Skratch so those rail cars are permitted by regulation to derail without concern :)

Good to hear from you!!

It would help if they had better maintenance and stopped jamming them locos with the megatonnage.

But railroads want more efficiency over practicality.

They took a lot of crap about that in CANADA. The Wild West is EAST again.

I often wonder if the dinosaurs sat around and expressed their concern over 'dinosaur-made global warming' or not??

LMAO!

NorCal prices are scraping $4/gallon again. How ironic. Oil had to be in $90 to $100 range for that price level in the recent past.

What a joke !
