Well the wire gets here today. The caps are on the way. Wish they would get here today. Thought of going with a Morel 10 inch. To rich for my blood.

I'm going to start loading at 7:30. Maybe I'll get to the speakers then. Don't know why I would be in a rush. I don't have an amp. LOL

Ah, I KNEW THAT WAS COMING!!!! Dig, Dig. Had to hook it back up to hear Younger Brother. I was holding it till i got the daqarta program going, HA! That aint happening for awhile. She'llbe boxed and shipped in the morning Larry. Get the 3300 and the new music yet???

I'm not in any hurry. No Fedex yet. I still have to do somethings with the speakers. Don't know when the meter will get here. So play with the daqarta program. LOL

Well everything is here. Can't afford new inductors. Still am going to measure them. Need to get to work on them. Will go tomorrow and get the rest of my supplies and finish them. Lot of stuff to do. Almost have the outdoor speakers done. I worked on them today.

That 700's getting closer...........and closer.................and closer................and closer...........

...............and closer.........................................................and closer..........................

Well the 1st x-over board is set up. Now to wire and solder. I made it a simple 2nd order. The 1st will be done and the burn in will start. The 12 ga wire isn't that fun to work with. I didn't change the inductors ; but I pulled the CBs and the light bulb and the tweeter switch. Will see if I did every thing right.

Larry

Should I go in there and start soldering? What would be my motivation. Does any one else in here get the I really don't care attitude. I have never worked with the inductors that are just air coils. Will the iron burn the varnish off the wire while I'm soldering. I haven't messed with this stuff in over 30 years. I tried scraping it today. That was fun. Well I have to go give blood tomorrow. I'll do it when I get home.

I always used ribbon or flat wire. There is no insulation on the tails. I'm so use to b-amping them I keep wanting to separate the X-overs. LOL Well all the wires are soldered and color coded. couple ugly solder joints. Would rather have a lot of solder than not enough and I have to pull it out again. Just rang out the whole x-over. Hope they sound good. I would hate to have to redo everything.

One down. Burning it in right now. I use to let them burn for a week just barely on. Not a robust bass for sure.

I'm just playing one right now. Man I am good. No it is sounding pretty good. Just put some ray Charles in. Now I remember why I liked building speakers. There is one catch though. You always think you can build a better pair.
