Yep, got a rotary switch on order but hmm.. need to review what I need to do here..

Asked Jer if he could make one of the now defunct gain knobs adjust the sensitivity of the meters. That way I still get my light show without the neighbors pounding on my door at 6 in the morning.

Going to need to research a little here. In some of the schematics on the series II, I see a switch with a resistor that can be switched in series or bypassed. Doug needs MORE sensitivity, so if anything that scheme would decrease the sensitivity unless (I'm thinking) an associated resistor on the display boards themselves is reduced. Joe/Lee.. what do you know here?

I don't have a schematic for the 400 Jer. But I'm thinking you'll have to adjust the sensitivity up for low power stuff then switch in some resistors...

Maybe... I like the idea of turning up the sensitivity on the pots then finding the right value to insert in series for the 0dB setting. Gotsta get the switch first, then we'll see.

Yeah mebbe.. in the meantime, the "power test" didn't quite go well this time... Took Q7 out and as you can see a few other components, and blew the whole negative side on the outputs..

Crap.. well, guess we needs to order some more 95's plus a few other things now. Serves me right to be testing with a song called "Pimping Ass Bass" LOL LMFAO .. (Let me upload the youtube vid.. it was pumpin' before this happened).

Didn't the Rev B backplanes negate the need to move the 3 wire over to the B- input?

Damn.. ah well, here's the vid LOL. Note the metal clang about 10 seconds in - that was something falling off the shelves. Then right at the end is when .. well.. the "end" occurred as you can hear my UPS screaming in pain from the overcurrent, too.

No, but it's interesting... both positive and negative fuses took a catastrophic hit.
