One complete, the other is in work but turning out nice. Take a guess at which one I'm going to add to my system.... And which one I'm selling...... Hint..... "You Don't Have To Turn On The Red Light".......

Wanna swap a 1210 for a 1200? I like the black look! Had my bearings checked, still in spec

Seeing as this thread has been resurrected, I'll add my 2 bob's worth.

I found mine in a bin. An SL-1210 Mk 2. It's tonearm had been broken off and it had no platter.
I managed to find a new platter and lid with hinges before their prices skyrocketed [lucky me].
I sourced an SME 3009 Series II Tonearm and a Shure V15 Type IV cart with a spare new stylus.
Only problem I had setting it up, was that I couldn't get the tonearm to sit quite low enough for the stylus to touch the record.
No matter how many adjustments I made, it just didn't come down the last 2-3mm.
Solution: A slip mat under the platter's rubber mat. Perfect!
I've seen these sell for well over $2k overseas, but you'd be pushing for that here in Oz.
Nice t/t though. The SME makes it look extra swish. ;)

I have/had SME and Jelco arm boards for my turntable seen above, but those are too rich for my blood. That mk2 arm assembly was under $200 if I remember right......I think I won that turntable for around $200 (sans arm) if I remember right.....
