Duracells.....of course. Panasonic's were in it. Maybe original..

What does it use batteries for Lee??
 
Batteries power this preamp for ultra low noise. Not uncommon in high end preamps.
 
The chassis started out as a single piece of aluminum....iI'm impressed..

One battery had swelled....a touch sketchy. Glad they did not leak.
 
Leads had to be desoldered and soldered to the new batteries....

Nor in their affluent customer base!

Glad to see you firing her up Lee. The power supply appears to be 2 batteries with built in charger.
 
Well that and a dandy DC power supply when not on batteries...
 
Is this thing in the system yet Lee. Seems like it was nearly a year ago we first heard about it.
