Model ONE Build - S/N 0005 & 0006

Transformers and most of the 12 AWG wiring completed.

The build is progressing very well without issue. As always from White Oak, this is one impressive design with very high quality components.

Now on to all the smaller interconnects.

Super nice Eric, thanks for sharing your progress !

I have not been very diligent in taking pictures along the way due to focusing on ensuring all wire terminations are correct. I plan to take many more build sequence pictures with the second build now that I'm familiar with all the wire terminations.

Once I get started on a new project with music playing in the background, I didn't want to stop for pictures...

Here is the latest status, everything wired except the front faceplate and meters.

Looking very good Eric

Eric,
I received my S/N stickers. I assume you have too. Should we agree on a location for the stickers, just to be consistent?
Maybe Joe has some input. He likely already attached his stickers to S/N 1 and S/N 2.

There is a space designed for it below where it says "Made in USA" (should have dusted before pic, maids day off I suppose)S-N Label Small.jpg

All power up testing completed without issue and playing music on the bench.

Even with modest speakers at my bench, the sound is noticeably more tight and detailed in the bass.

Joe has created one special amp with this project... I could not recommend more, and I'm only using a Bluesound Node and RCA inputs at the moment.

Can't wait to get this in the main listening room for the real test (after the wife leaves the house...).

I think I prefer the look with silver knobs and handles. I used to prefer all-black, but I guess I’ve evolved in my old age.

I’m beginning to wonder about a pair of monoblocks… balanced in and no meters on the face… need another job (or sell my unused audio gear)

I’d be happy to feed your need to build…

Joe’d be happy to have my order too…

I guess if I was able to listen it would be an easier sell. My “good” gear has been in hibernation for a while now.

I am using the Micro table and my phono pre, but they’re feeding a Pioneer SX-880 and $9 Polk speakers from goodwill…
