Marantz sr320 smokes when treble knob 100%

So I unsoldered the balance pot off the board, it has 3 pins..
center pin to L is 3ohm when turned L.
Center pin to R is 2 ohm when turned R

on the board, center pin is grounded.
When turned full L or R, the resistor doesn’t smoke.

Under 25% volume pot all is good…
Above 25% volume pot problem starts.

Fixed… I tested all the components involved in the diagram of the power amplifier but couldn’t find a flaw… so I ordered a a new stk4833…
The broblem was gone!!!

I even added some sky blue background lights “dimmed” so one could tell the difference between on/off ….IMG_3735.jpeg
