Marantz 250

Minimum run of what Don?? The 150- 300 figure is very do-able if there's a decent number of minimum's. Or is that just the set-up and so much for each one??

Cassette deck ought to be pretty decent then. Was there some connection between Pioneer and Bob? Think I'll go with different TT. I might use the Accutrack 4000 I have.

Ed straightened me out today, the 7000 was a Pioneer CR1A, sold only overseas?? Except in the 7000 version for here.

There is a reason they are easily acquired, cause everyone wants to get rid of them. Ditto on the 300 Ser II, uses the same output as the mighty Pioneer SX 1980, good luck on finding those. just some things you can't know jumping back in after years of not bein involved.

Look on eBay and you may still find one! Swear I saw that listing in the last two days!

I'm guessing that price is probably a one time engineering and setup charge. The actual boards would only be a few dollars.

THIS THREAD IS WORTHLESS WITHOUT PICS!!!! We used to have a smiley that said that......

First time posting pics. Hope it works

And to what or who do i owe this honor to?? The plane was very generous with their Bloody Mary mix, and the kids are well stocked with Crown, Bailey's Mudslide and traditional and some Cinnamon schnapps that is very INTERESTING!!

You should try Rumplemintz.

For me drool central is on my pillow - but in this case I can see it somewhere else.

What a nice looking amp - you must keep us posted on its sound. Marantz was high on my list when I purchased stereo components - just didn't get one.

My father was born and raised in Ok and I spent some time in the Lawton area. Mount Scott and buffalo are some of my memories. We'd get drunk and go smack a buffalo on the ass and run like hell - we thought that we were fast but later in life I realized these guys must'a been nice as they looked at us like we were stupid 'cause they could easily outrun us. Gene pool didn't get thinned then so maybe it's ok.

Well your avatars have been drool central for me. Lol. Yes it is a great looking little amp. Very heavy. I'll take take the top of later and take some naked pics of her. She's gonna need a dc protect I know. I let ya know how she sounds though. Bet she'll sing like Adelle though. I love my Marantz stuff. I also cant wait to get the PL 3300 and 1000 from Lee. I also bought a PL5000 tuner. So I'm gonna have my PL system, my Marantz system, and my Kenwood. Gonna find a PL 7000 cassette deck and think gonna try a Thorens TT

The Thorens I heard today was a heavily modified 125 or 129 MK III with the heavy arm and counterweight, an absolutely gorgeous sounding and looking table!

Lucite. Sounds about like the buttons on my Kenwood KA-60!

Was it for sale?
No Larrt it wasn't. The guy had the most extensive master, half speed, quadrophonic, vinyl collection I have ever heard of. When you asked about an album, usually 3 of the same title came out. The standard issue consumer, the master discs, and the half speed mastered discs. Simply amazing. Good vinyl; is still goose pimple stuff.
