I parted out the Ivy Bridge desktop last year, rarely got used! I just got a used high spec Thinkpad T480. It’ll render drone maps, run 3D printer slicing software, and shitpost just fine…..but it chokes on 4K video. Gotta see what that’s about

Got a Nvidia 4k card in the Lenovo S30 I have hooked up to the big system. To tell the truth, the only 4K sources I have are YouTube videos. Pretty damn spectacular. Can't remember exactly what card it is though. Bought it used and replaced the heat sink compound.

Took a look, a little EVGA 1050 TI 4K card. Works good. I see I need to blow the dust out.

I've just completed a build for a simulator - debating to go 3-screen or VR headset. Aorus Z590 Elite and Intel i7. Details of the rig and system to come later this week ... it has consumed much of my time lately. Got lucky and snagged a Founder's Edition Nvidia 3080 graphics card
