Ya take a tired, road weary, 700B road warrior, to beat up and ugly to sell. take the faceplate, pull the meters and throw the rest away. (yes I'll save the outputs). this will be a PLINO(phase linear in name only).
Machine a new faceplate to accept old meters. throw old tranny away, get new 1.5KVA toroid, build enclosure to house toroid, BR, 6- 22,000,mfd 100 volt caps, and soft start module.
Build new enclosure to house WHITE OAK AUDIO'S new UNIVERSAL PL14A/B/ PL 20 Amp Driver board. New , MASSIVE heatsinks from an ALLEN BRADLEY 50 HP VSD, cut and machined for TO-3's.
ON/OFF muting, DC speaker protect, High heat shutdown, Clipping indicator, LED Peak power Indicators, Custom Fold Away rack handles, AND signed by me.

After some preliminary "cost analysis" a limited (see rare and expensive) production run(see-by hand) of the "LaatschFet" 500 watt monoblocs(conservative rating) will be prohibitively non-commercial(see-hi-end). In lieu of this new information it has been decided by the "Economic Feasibility" committee to nix said project(see-bean counter assessment) After filing their written report to the CEO< CFO< and CIO,(see-me) the commitee was fired en-masse'.

Jerry, all I need is the address. this is a pretty special Series I. The drivers are On-Semi MJ 15024's and the outputs are On- Semi- MJ 21196's--------pure kick ass. The driver board has audio grade caps. It has not had the Joe treatment as in special bypass of C6, C3 like Larry's, but should get you a week in the doghouse from "she". But what a way to go.

Saw one of these sell on e-bay two days ago for 610.00 and wasn't near the amp this one is, jeez. Bought this one for 75.00 as a basket case, came in two boxes. Took a couple weeks but it will shake your walls now.
