I ended up trading for jeanmarie's 400 and trying to find who built the Amp. I think it was a Eric? Anyway, love the Amp but wanted final testing results of THD + N and also how the micro switch on back for meter sensitivity works since I see no difference in position

Amp sounds great as expected. Midrange very forward in this build. Trying now to design and build a new rack as my existing one does not have room for my msin amp that Perry built 700 series II using Rev G board called Sabbitha

I got the 400 to run a set of JBL Control Monitors purchased from Channel 30 in West Hartford about 10 years ago. They are rated at 375wpc so perfect fit for the 400

I have the 700 controlled by my Perreaux Class A SA3 preamp and plan to use an Adcom GFP 1A for the 400. Any ideas how to jump the signal from the Perreaux into the Adcom?

Been awhile since I posted because I couldn't login which Jer helped me after I got ahold of him on FB

Eric, if you see this, could you post final test results after you finished the Amp and also explain the meter sensitivity micro switch?

Thank you, here is the Amp doing what I do. Also have to name her. I don't know the original woman's builders name from PL

Guess mp4s don't load here??? Sorry no vid

Hey! Is that Philips burner still working? That was my first CD recorder- uses "music" CDs only... but it died a long time ago and was replaced with the Tascam.
Yep, works like a charm. I use it to burn my LPs. My favorite CDP for many years. I have the remote and manual to still

If you take the top cover off and see the Yellow sticker on the top cap that looks like this, than yes it's my amp build:

The switch on the rear of the amp just above the RCA inputs is a meter sensitivity switch. You probably will not see much difference in meter movement until you crank the volume up and do your best "Lee" impersonation.

Try the tape loops...

Tape out from Perreaux > Aux In on Adcom? As opposed to preamp outs, most tape outs are at fixed volume, IIRC.

I am quite famous fir putting the meters flat when I play as I am competing with a cranked Marshall JVM205H EL34 half stack. Somewhere there us quite a popular video showing a Rev E Amp that I named Sivara with the needles flat to the right. I did crank sessions with the switch in either position burying the meters. I will pull the top cover if and verify today but if you are in the same state as Mike in Wisconsin, you built it. Going to look at the link you posted now. Thank you!
